My Approach

We may be unaware of it, but we cannot help but be shaped by our relationships and experiences, especially from our childhood, which means that current patterns of behavior and emotions will originate from our past. Working in collaboration we can explore your current difficulties, personal beliefs and values, find ways to help you cope, and uncover the connection between your past and present experiences.

About me

Jessica Ostad is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, who is bilingual in English & Farsi.  Jessica extensive experience includes working with the chronically and severely mentally ill population, often those with co-occurring substance abuse disorders, as well as an extensive criminal history. In so doing, she has gained a strong knowledge base and experience working with clients in the court system. 

Getting Help

Most people can benefit from therapy at least at some point in their lives. Sometimes the signs are obvious—but at other times, something may feel slightly off and you can’t figure out what it is. So you trudge on, trying to sustain your busy life until it sets in that life has become unmanageable. Before it gets to this point, here are a few signs to consider getting help from a pro.
